When the Consolidated Rail Corporation (Conrail) was formed in the mid 1970’s, they absorbed all the locomotives and rolling stock from their predecessor railroads.  This led to some colorful consists of mixed liveries for several years following its creation.  This EMD SD45 locomotive pack depicts that era with a blending of former Penn Central and Erie Lackawanna liveries, mixed in with the blue Conrail livery that replaced them.
